Rules For Renting Our Dumpsters
- No prohibited items.
- Hazardous, explosive, and bulky items are prohibited from being thrown into a roll-off dumpster. Prohibited items include tires, liquid paint, paint cans, fluorescent lights, propane tanks, medical waste, animal parts, mattresses, box springs, electronics, televisions, explosives, flammable items, pesticides, aerosol cans, anti-freeze, car fluids, oils, gasoline, batteries, and herbicides.
- No moving products.
- Roll-off dumpsters should never be moved once the company’s workers place the product down on the ground at the worksite. Workers are trained to place dumpsters in a way that does not damage the ground beneath the products. Moving a dumpster without permission could damage a customer’s property as well as the company’s product. If a product needs to be moved after being placed, contact a customer service representative who can send a worker out to move the product.
- No horsing around.
- Roll-off dumpsters contain construction debris and other waste materials that can be dangerous when fallen onto. Because of this, there should never be any horsing around happening near the roll-off dumpster. Children and pets should also be kept away to prevent them from getting curious, falling into the dumpster, and possibly getting hurt.

Step Up To The Throne
About Our Portable Toilets
Our portable toilets are ideal for giving construction workers a safe, sanitary place to use the bathroom without having to leave the worksite. Just one portable toilet can be used about 40 to 45 times before needing to be serviced. These temporary bathrooms are available in two sizes – standard and handicap ADA-compliant. Both sizes come delivered clean and ready to be used. Rentals include two large rolls of toilet paper and toilet bowl sanitizer.

Handicap ADA-compliant portable toilets have guard rails, as well as extra move-around space for assistance and easier route access. Our portable toilets are perfect for construction sites. They are also perfect for a wide range of public and private events. Events like…

When Should Portable Toilets Be Serviced?
Our portable toilets are professionally serviced weekly unless otherwise specified. During a service visit, a truck will pump out the mess inside of the toilet, and workers will sanitize the toilet, as well as its temporary facility. Provided supplies, including two large toilet paper rolls and toilet bowl sanitizer, will be restocked during the visit. Additional service visits can occur for an added fee. Talk to a customer service representative about adding a service day.

Tips For First-Time Renters
1
Before reserving your roll-off dumpster, make sure you have enough space to place the roll-off dumpster you are planning on renting. While 15-yard and 20-yard roll-offs can fit in most smaller driveways that do not have much move-around space, the 30-yard and 40-yard roll-offs require more space. We suggest you go out and measure how much of a hard, flat surface, such as concrete, you have for the dumpster to be placed.
2
Once your spot has been decided for the dumpster placement; ensure enough space is cleared for the roll-off dumpster to be placed ahead of time. Nothing is worse than the dumpster showing up on-site for delivery, but workers have no place to place it. Don’t slow up the process! For the 40-yard roll-off, we suggest customers clear off twice the size of the roll-off footprint, which assists our workers in being able to sit the large container down.
3
Make sure you follow the rules. Do not throw prohibited items into the dumpster, such as hazardous, medical, or flammable waste. It’s also imperative that you do not attempt to move the dumpster without permission, or overfill the container with debris. By working together to uphold these regulations, we can ensure that this dumpster rental process is effective and safe for everyone involved.
4
Dumpsters can be loaded in any way you want to, as long as workers are not climbing on the dumpster to do so. We suggest customers load dumpsters by walking debris in through the back door or by tossing debris over the container’s sides.
5
Evenly distribute the weight inside of roll-off dumpsters as you load them. Uneven distribution can result in the dumpster tipping over while in route to the landfill for disposal. Make sure heavier items are placed on top of lighter items, when possible, to prevent lighter items from flying away and becoming a road hazard for motorists.
Additional Serviced Rentals
Handwash Stations
Gladiator has the perfect pairing to go with your portable toilet rental, our handwash stations! We provide these typically for larger occasions such as festivals and school fairs. Each station is equipped with either four hand-sanitizing dispensers or a sink and soap dispenser, depending on which you request and what we have available.
Pump Trucks
If you require servicing for your portable toilets, we have a fleet of pump trucks available in various sizes to effectively flush out the waste. As soon as your toilet reaches capacity, we dispatch one of our pump trucks to your project location to dispose of the waste on site, allowing you to resume work without any concerns.
FAQs
- Dumpster fires are not common, but they can be dangerous and even deadly if they happen. This is why it is important to take preventative actions to minimize the chances of a fire breaking out in the dumpster.
- Cigarette butts and ashes cleaned out from fireplaces, barbeques, and fire pits are the most common causes of dumpster fires. Minimize risks by ensuring workers never take their smoke break next to an open dumpster. Cigarettes, evenly partially lit, should never be flicked or disposed of anywhere in the dumpster’s vicinity.
- Flammable and explosive items should also be kept away from dumpsters to prevent an accidental dumpster fire from igniting. Dangerous items like these are prohibited from being placed in roll-off dumpsters, so they should already be kept away from the containers.
- Never place a dumpster up against a building or wall, so if a dumpster fire does ignite, the fire will not spread.
- See or smell smoke around a dumpster? Immediately call 911, so firefighters can come out and extinguish the fire before it gets any worse.
- Roll-off dumpster prices depend on the dumpster size selected and service location. Services like drop-off and pickup are included in the cost of the rental. Free quotes are available.
- Overfilling a dumpster past its brim and exceeding the designated weight limit of the product can result in fees being accrued. Adding hazardous or bulky items like mattresses and tires into the dumpster will also result in added fees because they require special separate disposal from other construction waste, which is why they are prohibited from being mixed in our dumpsters.
- Gladiator Dumpster Rental provides drop-off, pick-up, dumpster swapping, portable toilet servicing, and waste disposal services.
- Yes! Each size roll-off dumpster has a weight limit of how much waste can be thrown into it. Dumpsters should not be overflowing with debris when workers come to swap the product out. Dumpsters should also not have any explosive, flammable, or bulky items like mattresses in them. Exceeding weight limits and attempting to dispose of prohibited items will result in added fees being accrued and can interfere with the company’s quick swap service.
- Detailed quotes, invoices, order confirmation, proper purchase orders, automated and phone transactions, same-day delivery, dumpster swapping, and real-person communication are all available for customers.
- Opening the lever-style lock on a dumpster is as simple as unhooking the latch safety chain, raising the lever, and opening the door. Other dumpsters may have a ratchet-style lock, which will require flipping the ratchet’s switch, loosening the ratchet, and detaching the chain. For either lock style, make sure to attach the safety chain from the door to the side of the dumpster to keep it open.
